Your NDIS transport funding and the Victorian Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP) are separate schemes — and many of our participants use both.

If you hold an MPTP card, the program subsidises half of your taxi fare up to its per-trip limit; just show your card to the driver and it comes straight off the fare.

Most competitors don’t even mention MPTP — we accept it on every trip, on top of your fixed, all-inclusive price with no surge and no booking fee. If you’re not sure what applies to you, call us and we’ll walk you through it.

NDIS travel — your questions answered

Can I use my NDIS funding for taxi and maxi cab trips?
If transport is included in your plan, yes — funding can generally be used for travel to activities that help you meet your goals, like appointments, work, education, day programs and community access. What's covered depends on your individual plan, so it's always worth checking with your support coordinator or plan manager. Give us a call and we'll help you work out how to use it.
Do you work with plan-managed, agency-managed and self-managed plans?
All three. If you're plan-managed, we invoice your plan manager directly. If you're agency-managed, we can set up trips and bill against your transport budget where your plan allows. If you're self-managed, you pay the fixed fare and claim it back through the myplace portal using our tax invoice.
How does payment and invoicing work?
You never have to sort money out in the vehicle. We provide a proper tax invoice with the right details for the NDIA, plan managers or your own records, so payment is handled behind the scenes and you can just focus on the trip.
Can a carer or support worker travel with me?
Yes — a carer, support worker, family member or companion can travel alongside you at no extra seat charge. Just tell us how many are travelling when you book.
Do you have wheelchair-accessible vehicles for NDIS trips?
Yes. Just let us know when you book and we'll send a wheelchair-accessible vehicle with a hydraulic lift, floor anchor points and a trained driver. There's no surcharge for the accessible vehicle.
Can you set up regular or recurring runs?
Absolutely. Weekly day-program runs, standing therapy appointments or a regular commute — set it up once and we'll be there, with the same driver where we can so it's a familiar face.
Can I use MPTP and NDIS together?
They're separate schemes and many participants use both. If you hold an MPTP card, it takes 50% off your fare up to $60 a trip — the card is swiped on the driver's terminal at the end of the trip, so tell us when you book and we will not offer you online payment, which would lose you the subsidy.
